Queen Camilla gives rare update on King’s health

The Queen has given rare update on the health of King Charles III, who has been battling cancer since the beginning of the year.
Queen Camilla made the comments as she returned to work after the summer break on Tuesday.
Her Majesty was asked about her husband during a tour of the Dyson Cancer Centre in Bath.

Speaking to Suzie Moon, a charity worker who asked: “Is he ok?”, the Queen replied: “Yes, he’s doing very well”.
The King, 75, was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer after treatment for an enlarged prostate.
The two conditions are understood to be unrelated.
His Majesty revealed the diagnosis in February and resumed public-facing duties in April. He continues to receive weekly treatment.
In March, the Princess of Wales also revealed she was receiving preventative chemotherapy after announcing that cancer had been found when she underwent abdominal surgery in January.

Queen Camilla toured the new cancer centre in Somerset which will treat more than 500,000 patients a year.
The centre brings together research laboratories; oncology, chemotherapy and radiotherapy facilities; a pharmacy and nuclear medicine and physics teams.
The Queen spoke with nurse and patient Paul Holdway, who was there for a stem cell transplant to treat his blood cancer.
When she asked “How are you feeling?” he replied: “I am feeling very tired.”
In an apparent reference to the King, Queen Camilla said in response: “Men won’t admit it”.
In April, Buckingham Palace said the King’s medical team were “very encouraged” by his continued recovery, adding that doctors were “sufficiently pleased” with his progress.
The King is currently staying at Balmoral, in the Scottish Highlands, continuing a tradition beloved by his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
King Charles and Queen Camilla are due to visit Australia in October but the tour will be much smaller because of His Majesty’s health.
